Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain pumpkin puree unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter no xylitol
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional

  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Cookie cutters

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the *pumpkin puree*, *natural peanut butter*, and *olive oil* until well mixed.
  3. Add the *egg* to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the *whole wheat flour* and *oats*, mixing until a dough forms. If using, mix in the *cinnamon* at this stage.
  5. Lightly flour your surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the treats are firm and lightly browned.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the treats to cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to 3 months. Remember, these treats are meant to be enjoyed in moderation and are not a complete diet. Always consult your veterinarian if your dog has any health issues or dietary restrictions.
