  • 1 cup pumpkin puree plain, unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter without xylitol
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Cookie cutters
  • 1 Oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, natural peanut butter, and olive oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the egg to the mixture and stir well until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add the whole wheat flour and oats to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. If the dough is too dry, add water a tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  6. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the treats are hard and slightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Once cooled, serve them to your pup or store them for later!
