Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, natural peanut butter, and olive oil. Mix until smooth.
- Add the egg to the mixture and stir well until fully combined.
- Gradually add the whole wheat flour and oats to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- If the dough is too dry, add water a tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the treats are hard and slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, serve them to your pup or store them for later!
