Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup plain pumpkin puree unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter unsweetened, no xylitol
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and cinnamon if using.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, egg, and water until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
  5. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface, and roll it out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  8. Once baked, let the biscuits cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Storage & Reheating:
Store these treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to a month. Always remember that these treats are meant to be an occasional snack, so feed them in moderation and consult your veterinarian if your dog has any health issues or dietary restrictions.
