Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, whole wheat flour, oat flour, pumpkin puree, egg, and olive oil.
- Use a spatula to mix the ingredients until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, gradually add a bit more flour until manageable.
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use cookie cutters to cut the dough into fun shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- If using, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top of some of the treats for added flavor.
- Bake the treats in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden and firm to the touch.
- Once baked, remove the treats from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
