Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe banana mashed
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter no xylitol
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup water if needed

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Cookie cutters
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana and peanut butter. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add in the whole wheat flour and oats, mixing until a dough begins to form.
  4. If the dough is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until the dough is workable.
  5. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:
Store these homemade cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Remember, these are treats and should be given in moderation. Always consult your veterinarian before introducing new treats to your dog's diet.
Variations:
- Substitute pumpkin puree for banana for a different flavor.
- Add a sprinkle of cinnamon for a tasty twist (in moderation).
- Incorporate chopped carrots or apple (without seeds) for added nutrition.
