Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup plain chicken broth low sodium
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt unsweetened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and dried parsley, if using.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, water, yogurt, egg, and olive oil until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently for a few minutes until smooth.
  6. Roll the dough out to about 1/4 inch thickness using a rolling pin.
  7. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and crunchy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to 3 months. Remember, these are occasional snacks and should be given in moderation. Always consult your veterinarian if your dog has any health issues, allergies, or special diet needs.
Variations:
- Substitute chicken broth with beef or vegetable broth for different flavors.
- Add 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree for a seasonal twist.
- Incorporate 1/4 cup of grated carrots for added nutrition.
