Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dried blueberries
  • 1/2 cup plain peanut butter no xylitol
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 1 large egg

  • 1 Spatula or wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, dried blueberries, whole wheat flour, and oat flour. Stir well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, water, and egg until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the peanut butter mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing with a spatula or wooden spoon until a dough forms.
  5. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the treats are golden and firm.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the treats cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:
Store the treats in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to 3 months. Remember, these treats are an occasional snack, not a complete diet. Always introduce new treats gradually and consult your veterinarian if your dog has health conditions, allergies, or a special diet.
Variations:
- Substitute dried cranberries for dried blueberries for a different flavor.
- Use almond butter instead of peanut butter if your dog is not allergic.
- Add a tablespoon of mashed banana for added sweetness.
