Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter no xylitol
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats for texture
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Cookie cutters
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, natural peanut butter, and olive oil. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the oats and rolled oats. If using, sprinkle in the cinnamon and stir until you have a thick dough.
  5. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface (you can use more oats or a dog-friendly flour). Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  6. Place the cutouts on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
