Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain chicken broth low sodium
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup plain peanut butter no xylitol
  • 1/4 cup finely grated carrot
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, peanut butter, and egg until well combined.
  3. Add the grated carrot to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Gradually add the whole wheat flour and rolled oats to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Flour a clean surface lightly and roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the treats are golden and firm to the touch.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the treats cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:
Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Remember, these treats are occasional snacks, not a complete diet, so feed them in moderation and consult your veterinarian if your dog has health issues or allergies.
